Inspection of a Used Car: Where to Look for Faults
Almost everybody will tell you not to buy used Chevrolet Beat in Bangalore online without conducting a proper inspection. If you are buying a used car directly from a seller then you can get your own mechanic to thoroughly inspect the car before you agree to a deal. If you are buying a used Chevrolet car from online portals or from authorized dealers then ensure that you go for certified cars only.
So when you are getting your own inspection done, here is what your mechanic should be looking at:
Exterior of the Car
Ask your mechanic to carefully check the body and the paint job of the car. Many owners get their cars painted before they sell it. This paint job is primarily done to hide evidence of scratches, dents, and rust to the body. However if the paint job is not done properly then it will form bubbles on the surface. Running your hand carefully over the car’s body will let you feel the dents in the structure. And rust can be identified from the bottom part of the car. Check the windshield carefully and even the working condition of lights.
Interiors of the Car
Here you should primarily check the dashboard of the car, the upholstery and electrical fittings. Check what comes out from the air conditioning system and if there is a weird odour left in the car. Lift the floor mats and carpet to check for rust and wear and tear. Do not forget to open the trunk of the car and check the functioning of the hydraulic system of the trunk door.
Insist on turning on the engine of the car from cold. Ask the mechanic to check suspension and braking system of the car.
